Are you Ready.....?
If you're new to the idea of actually being, you know, naked, and in plain sight of others, you might be thinking that this is kinda weird. Well that's a perfectly normal response if you've been taught that your body is something that should be kept from view. But if you were brought up believing that your body wasn't something to be ashamed of or embarassed by, then you wouldn't think it was strange at all.
OK, so you still might be thinking, 'Aren't nudists flaky eccentrics who frolic through the woods?" Nope. They're bank tellers, housewives, bartenders, teachers, waitresses, priests, judges, college students, and professors who enjoy the unrestricted feeling of being clothes-free. They are people who are open-minded enough to recognize their bodies as good, not something to be ashamed of or lusted after.
| Public Lands | Managers of public lands such as the National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, the Forest Service, etc. generally view nude recreation as "a legitimate activity" - when conducted with discretion and sensitivity for the varying values of others. If you want to be sure, contact the manager of the area you wish to visit. Hiking into the backcountry and spending time nude is a great activity, and many opportunities for doing so exist. |
| Rivers | Canoeing or tubing rivers also provide great opportunities to experience naturism, find your own isolated sand bar and enjoy the sun. |
| Beaches | Nude beaches are popular spots for clothing-optional recreation and range from small private coves, rocky ledges, to mile long stretches of sand. |
| Clubs, Parks, Resorts | Naturist clubs, parks, and resorts are wonderful for enjoying time nude and provide the opportunity to socialize with others and play sports such as volleyball and tennis. Most have hot tubs, swimming pools, camping areas, and a gamerooms. |
